The flight
I am happy to write that the voyage to France was uneventful (which is a good thing). Everyone was on time and check in and security was a breeze! The flight from Chicago to Paris was a long one, but we were all seated near each
other. I don't think anyone really slept well during the flight, maybe one or two hours, so we were tired when the cabin lights when on around 5:30 Paris time. Breakfast on the plane included a croissant! I was surprised that we didn't need to go through customs in Paris, and we were all relieved to retrieve our luggage! The students now have a stamp from France in their passports!
Michel from Language & Friendship met us at the airport and helped us to find our bus. The 30 minute drive to Enghien was mostly on the highways outside of Paris, so we didn't spot the Eiffel Tour yet but we will soon!
I have to go now but I want to add that this morning I went to the market with my family and I ran into Michaela with her family! She looked well rested and after the market she was going to visit the castle of Chantilly near Paris!
I will write next about our day in Enghien and meeting the host families. Stay tuned!

Bonjour! We are safe and sound in France! All is good and the students are with their host families. I can't wait to hear their stories after this weekend! It's been a long day but I promise to post lots of details tomorrow.
A demain!
